Printable Kuwait calendar 2027 with public holidays

A 2027 calendar for Kuwait with National Day, Liberation Day, Isra and Miraj and the expected Eid holidays, Hijri dates and a Friday and Saturday weekend. The PDF is made in your browser, and your entries are not saved or sent.

January for a calendar year; any other month gives 12 months from that month, for example a September to August school or club year.

Layout

Letter is the usual size in the US and Canada; A4 is used almost everywhere else.

Orientation
Week starts on
Color theme: Teal

Large print has bigger numbers and thicker lines. Ink saver prints outlines only, with no shaded boxes.

Hijri dates follow the Umm al-Qura calendar; local moon sighting can differ by a day. Ramadan and the Eids are marked as expected.

ISO 8601: weeks run Monday to Sunday and week 1 is the week with the year's first Thursday, so 1 to 3 January can be in week 52 or 53. US style: weeks run Sunday to Saturday and week 1 is the week with January 1.

More options

On pages with one month per page.

The working week of the holidays chosen (Monday to Friday unless the country has another weekend), minus the public holidays shown.

Worked out with Jean Meeus's astronomical formulas and checked against the US Naval Observatory. Dated in UTC, so in your time zone a date can be a day earlier or later.

Holiday names stay in English, their official names.

Saka dates follow the Indian National Calendar (in use since 22 March 1957): 1 Chaitra falls on 22 March, or 21 March in a leap year. Hijri or Saka, one at a time.

Your own events, picture and font

An event on 29 February that repeats every year is shown on 28 February in years that are not leap years.

No events yet. Events are printed in their day boxes.

    Import a calendar file (.ics)

The file is read on this device and never uploaded. Times are not printed; each event goes on its day in your time zone.

How to save a calendar file
    Google Calendar (on a computer)
Go to calendar.google.com. For one calendar: under My calendars, point to its name, select More, then Settings and sharing, then Export calendar (an .ics file). For all calendars: Settings, then Import and export, then Export (a .zip file; you can open the .zip here as it is). The phone app cannot export.
    Apple Calendar (on a Mac)
Click the calendar's name in the calendar list, then choose File, Export, Export, and save the .ics file. An iPhone or iPad cannot export a calendar file.
    Outlook (classic, on Windows)
Open the Calendar, select the calendar, then File, Save Calendar. Use More Options to choose the dates and detail, then Save.
    Outlook on the web
Settings, Shared calendars, Publish a calendar, then download the ICS link. Anyone with that link can see the calendar, so stop publishing it when you are done.

What is read: each event's title and date, all-day and timed events, events over several days (up to 31 days), and events that repeat daily, weekly, monthly or yearly, with their skipped and moved dates. Repeating events are added for last year to three years ahead. Not read: times, places, notes, reminders, and rare repeat rules (such as "the last weekday of the month"); for those only the first date is added and the list below says so.

    Photo or logo

Read on this device and never uploaded or remembered. Large photos are made smaller so the PDF stays small, and hidden camera details (such as location) are left out.

    Where
    Fit

The picture area is on pages with one month per page; a logo goes in the header of every page. Photos use more ink.

All three are free fonts (SIL Open Font License) and print the same as the preview.

Off unless you tick it. When ticked, your events and options are kept in this browser on this device only, never sent. Pictures are not kept. Untick it or select Clear to remove them.

Printed at the top, up to 60 characters.

Your entries are not saved or sent.

Print at Actual size (100%) on the same paper you chose above. Turn off "Fit to page" or "Shrink to fit" so the margins and boxes stay true to size.

How to make your 2027 Kuwait calendar

    1. Choose a layout. The whole year on one page, two pages, 4 or 3 months per page, or 12 monthly pages in landscape with large boxes to write in.
    2. Check the details. The calendar opens on A4 with the week starting on Sunday, Friday and Saturday shaded as the weekend, the Kuwait public holidays shaded and listed under each month, and Hijri dates in each day's box. You can switch to Monday or Sunday, turn the Hijri dates off, pick another paper size (A3, A5, US Letter and more), one of seven color themes, black and white, large print or ink saver, and add a title.
    3. Select Download PDF. The PDF is made in your browser in a second or two. Nothing is uploaded, and your entries are not saved or sent.

The preview is drawn by the same layout as the PDF, so what you see is what prints. Print at Actual size (100%) so the margins stay true.

    Kuwait public holidays 2027

Kuwait's official holidays are New Year's Day, Isra and Miraj, National Day, Liberation Day, Eid al-Fitr (3 days), Arafat Day, Eid al-Adha (3 days), the Hijri New Year and the Prophet's Birthday. The moon-based ones are expected dates from the Umm al-Qura calendar.

Tuesday 5 JanuaryIsra and Miraj (expected)
    Thursday 25 FebruaryNational Day
    Friday 26 FebruaryLiberation Day

    Saturday 15 MayArafat Day (expected)
Sunday 16 May to Tuesday 18 MayEid al-Adha (expected), 3 days
Sunday 6 JuneHijri New Year (expected)
    Saturday 14 AugustProphet's Birthday (expected)
Saturday 25 DecemberIsra and Miraj (expected)

Isra and Miraj (27 Rajab) comes twice in 2027, because the Hijri year is about 11 days shorter than the Gregorian year: expected on Tuesday 5 January 2027 and Saturday 25 December 2027.

Why Kuwait's announced days can differ

The Cabinet decides the days off for every holiday, and it can move a holiday that falls on or next to the weekend to a Thursday or a Sunday, or add days to an Eid. The Central Bank of Kuwait's closures in 2026 show how:

    • Isra and Miraj (Friday 16 January) was given on Sunday 18 January.
    • Eid al-Fitr was Friday 20 March, and the Central Bank closed from Thursday 19 to Monday 23 March.
    • Arafat Day and Eid al-Adha ran from Tuesday 26 May, with work resuming on Monday 1 June.
    • The Prophet's Birthday was given on Thursday 27 August.

In 2027 several holidays fall on the weekend: New Year's Day and Liberation Day on a Friday, and Arafat Day and the Prophet's Birthday (expected Saturday 14 August 2027) on a Saturday. Expect the Cabinet to announce days around them. The calendar shows each holiday on its own date until the announcement.

Weekend and working week in Kuwait

Government offices work Sunday to Thursday, with Friday and Saturday as the weekend; every 2026 closure notice above has work resuming on a Sunday to Thursday. The calendar shades Friday and Saturday and starts each week on Sunday; you can switch it to Monday.

    Why some dates say "expected"

Eid al-Fitr, Eid al-Adha and the other Islamic holidays follow the Hijri (lunar) calendar, so they move about 11 days earlier each year. The calendar works out their 2027 dates from the Umm al-Qura calendar and marks them (expected). In Kuwait the Cabinet decides the days off for each holiday shortly before it, once the moon has been sighted.

Hijri dates follow the Umm al-Qura calendar; local moon sighting can differ by a day. The same note is printed at the foot of the PDF. Dates fixed by law, such as National Day on 25 February and Liberation Day on 26 February, are not marked expected.

    Questions and answers

How many public holidays does Kuwait have in 2027?

14 days by the usual list: New Year's Day, Isra and Miraj (twice in 2027), National Day, Liberation Day, 3 days of Eid al-Fitr, Arafat Day, 3 days of Eid al-Adha, the Hijri New Year and the Prophet's Birthday. The Cabinet can add or move days.

When are National Day and Liberation Day 2027?

National Day is 25 February and Liberation Day 26 February: Thursday 25 February 2027 and Friday 26 February 2027 in 2027.

When is Eid al-Fitr 2027 in Kuwait?

Expected on Tuesday 9 March 2027, with the holiday expected from Tuesday 9 March to Thursday 11 March 2027. The Cabinet announces the days off after the moon is sighted.

When is Eid al-Adha 2027 in Kuwait?

Arafat Day is expected on Saturday 15 May 2027 and Eid al-Adha from Sunday 16 May to Tuesday 18 May 2027.

Why is Isra and Miraj in the calendar twice?

The Hijri year is about 11 days shorter than the Gregorian year, so 27 Rajab comes twice in 2027: expected on Tuesday 5 January 2027 and Saturday 25 December 2027.

Does the calendar show Hijri dates?

Yes. Hijri dates from the Umm al-Qura calendar are on by default, in small figures in each day's box. Untick Hijri dates to hide them.

Is my calendar saved or uploaded anywhere?

No. The calendar and the PDF are made in your browser on your own device. Your options and title are not saved or sent.
