How to make a weekly calendar
- Pick the weeks. Choose the whole of 2027 for a full year of weekly pages, or From a date you choose for 1 to 54 weeks starting with the week that holds that date.
- Pick a layout. Days side by side gives seven tall columns, like a desk planner, with an hour-by-hour grid if you tick Time slots. Days one under another gives each day a wide band with lines, like a diary.
- Set the page. One or two weeks on each page, a notes area, holidays, Monday or Sunday start, week numbers, the language of the month and day names, paper size, orientation, a color theme and an optional title.
- Select Download PDF. The PDF is made in your browser in a second or two, even for a whole year. Nothing is uploaded, and your entries are not saved or sent.
Each page shows the week number and the dates at the top, and every day is labeled with its weekday and date, so a page never needs filling in by hand. Weekends are lightly shaded; holidays are shaded in the theme color and named in the day.
Which layout and paper to choose
| You want | Choose |
|---|---|
| A weekly planner for the desk or fridge | Days side by side, 1 week per page, landscape Letter or A4 |
| An hourly weekly schedule (work shifts, classes, appointments) | Days side by side with Time slots, from and to the hours you need, a line every hour or every 30 minutes |
| A diary-style week with room to write | Days one under another, portrait; or landscape with Notes for two columns of four boxes |
| A planner or binder insert | Half Letter (5.5 x 8.5 in) or A5 (148 x 210 mm), portrait |
| Fewer pages for a whole year | 2 weeks on each page: 27 pages instead of 53 |
Every size is drawn natively for its paper, never stretched, with margins of at least half an inch (12.7 mm). Text keeps a minimum size on small paper, so Half Letter and A5 stay readable.
How many weeks are in 2027?
It depends on how you count. 2027 has 52 ISO weeks. ISO 8601, the international standard used in the UK and much of Europe, starts weeks on Monday, and week 1 is the week with the year's first Thursday in it. A year has 53 ISO weeks only when it starts on a Thursday, or is a leap year starting on a Wednesday; 2026 starts on a Thursday, so it has 53.
That is why January 1, 2027 (a Friday) is in week 53 of 2026, and ISO week 1 of 2027 starts on Monday, January 4, 2027.
A printed year still has to show every day from January 1 to December 31, so the whole-year PDF runs from the week with January 1 to the week with December 31:
- Monday start: 53 weeks, Monday, December 28, 2026 to Sunday, January 2, 2028.
- Sunday start: 53 weeks, Sunday, December 27, 2026 to Saturday, January 1, 2028.
Choose the week numbers to print: ISO 8601, US style (weeks run Sunday to Saturday and week 1 is the week with January 1 in it, so December 27, 2026 to January 2, 2027 is week 1 of 2027) or None. With US style, the last days of December can be in week 1 of the next year.
2027 holidays and their week numbers
Tick a holiday set and each holiday is shaded and named on its day. US federal holidays are shown on the day they are observed, as listed by OPM; UK bank holidays come from GOV.UK; you can also choose public holidays for Ireland, Canada (federal workplaces and nine provinces and territories; Quebec, New Brunswick, Nunavut and Yukon are not offered yet because their official lists could not be checked) or Australia (national, and each state and territory), each from the official government list. Week numbers below are ISO weeks for the UK and US style weeks for the US.
| US federal holiday | Observed | US week |
|---|---|---|
| New Year's Day | January 1 | 1 |
| Birthday of Martin Luther King, Jr. | January 18 | 4 |
| Washington's Birthday (Presidents' Day) | February 15 | 8 |
| Memorial Day | May 31 | 23 |
| Juneteenth National Independence Day (observed) | June 18 | 25 |
| Independence Day (observed) | July 5 | 28 |
| Labor Day | September 6 | 37 |
| Columbus Day | October 11 | 42 |
| Veterans Day | November 11 | 46 |
| Thanksgiving Day | November 25 | 48 |
| Christmas Day (observed) | December 24 | 52 |
| New Year's Day (observed) | December 31 | 1 |
| England and Wales bank holiday | Date | ISO week |
|---|---|---|
| New Year’s Day | January 1 | 53 |
| Good Friday | March 26 | 12 |
| Easter Monday | March 29 | 13 |
| Early May bank holiday | May 3 | 18 |
| Spring bank holiday | May 31 | 22 |
| Summer bank holiday | August 30 | 35 |
| Christmas Day (substitute day) | December 27 | 52 |
| Boxing Day (substitute day) | December 28 | 52 |
Scotland and Northern Ireland have some different bank holidays; choose your nation under Holidays and the calendar shades the right days. GOV.UK has published bank holidays up to the end of 2028, so later weeks are printed without them until GOV.UK adds them.
Weekday and month names in other languages
Under Month and day names in, choose English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Italian, Dutch, Indonesian, Malay and Turkish. The weekdays, months and dates are printed in that language, in its usual date style (for example 4 de enero de 2027 in Spanish or 4. Januar 2027 in German), with the planner words such as Notes and Week translated too. Holiday names stay in their official English form.
Arabic is not offered yet: Arabic is written right to left with joined letters, and our PDF maker cannot join them correctly. We would rather leave it out than print it wrong.
Islamic dates on a weekly calendar
Tick Hijri dates to add the Islamic day under each date and the Hijri month at the top of each week. Your browser works them out with the Umm al-Qura calendar. Hijri dates follow the Umm al-Qura calendar; local moon sighting can differ by a day. The start of Ramadan and the two Eids are marked as expected dates; please follow your local mosque for the actual days.
Questions and answers
Can I print just one week?
Yes. Choose From a date you choose under Weeks, pick any date in that week and leave How many weeks at 1. The page starts on the Monday or Sunday of that week, as you choose.
Can I print a weekly schedule with hours?
Yes. Choose Days side by side and tick Time slots, then set the first and last hour, a line every hour or every 30 minutes, and a 12-hour or 24-hour clock. The hours run down the left side of the week.
Why does the 2027 calendar start with week 53?
January 1, 2027 is a Friday, so by the ISO 8601 rule it belongs to the last week of 2026, week 53. Choose US style week numbers to number it week 1, or None to leave numbers off.
Can I fit two weeks on a page?
Yes. Choose 2 weeks under Weeks on each page. Days side by side puts one week above the other; days one under another puts them side by side.
Is there a weekly calendar for a binder or planner?
Yes. Choose Half Letter or A5 paper in portrait. The text and lines are sized for the smaller page, and the margins are still at least half an inch.
Is my calendar saved or uploaded anywhere?
No. The calendar and the PDF are made in your browser on your own device. Your options and title are not saved or sent.
