Which paper do I need?
| You want to | Use | Usual size |

| Write notes, letters and essays | Lined paper | College ruled 9/32 in (7.14 mm), wide ruled 11/32 in (8.73 mm), or 8 mm |
| Teach a child to form letters, or practice neat writing | Handwriting paper | Top line, dashed midline and baseline, from 3/8 in to 1 1/8 in |

Every page lets you choose the spacing in millimeters or inches, or type your own, plus the paper size, portrait or landscape, margins, line color and darkness, and an optional title or name and date lines.
True to size: print at 100%
Each sheet is drawn as a vector PDF at the exact spacing you choose, natively for the paper you pick: A4, A3, A5, US Letter, Legal, Tabloid or Half Letter. An inch is exactly 25.4 mm and the PDF measures in points of exactly 1/72 inch, so 9/32 in college ruled lines are exactly 20.25 points apart and 5 mm squares exactly 14.17 points.
To keep that size on paper, choose the same paper in the print dialog and set the scale to 100% or Actual size. Turn off "Fit to page" and "Shrink to fit": they shrink the whole page, so 1/4 in squares come out smaller than 1/4 in. Do not print several pages per sheet for the same reason.
Check the ruler
At the bottom of every sheet there is a printed check-ruler: exactly 5 cm long, or 2 in for inch sizes, with millimeter or eighth-inch ticks. After printing, lay a real ruler along it. If it measures 5 cm (or 2 in), every line on the page is true to size. If it is shorter, the printer scaled the page; print again at 100%. Next to it is the spacing used and the print.dexaloop.com credit line.
Made in your browser
The PDF is made on your own device in a second, with nothing uploaded, and your entries are not saved or sent. Lines print light by default so your writing stands out, and the black and white theme uses no colored ink. You may print, copy, share and even sell the sheets, as long as the credit line at the foot of each page stays on it.
